How Algebra Powers DEXs: Integration Guide

Introduction

Algebra provides a fully modular, white-label DEX engine that allows teams to launch their own exchange on any supported network — without building everything from scratch. The integration process is structured, collaborative, and designed to give DEX teams full ownership and flexibility from day one.
Dive into a clear breakdown of how an Algebra-powered DEX integration works, what’s required, and what teams receive at the end.

Pre-Deployment Setup

Before deployment, the Algebra team aligns with the DEX on a few key parameters:
  • Subgraph accessThe DEX provides access to a Subgraph provider such as The Graph or Goldsky (depending on the network). Algebra deploys and configures the Subgraph on behalf of the DEX.
  • Community Fee configurationThe DEX chooses the Community Fee percentage — the portion of swap fees that goes directly to the protocol from every trade.
  • Contract ownershipAfter deployment, ownership of the smart contracts is transferred to the DEX team. From that moment on, the DEX has full control and all administrative rights.
Importantly, the DEX team does not need to write or deploy smart contracts themselves — Algebra handles most of the deployment process.

Smart Contract & Infrastructure Deployment

Algebra deploys:
  • Core AMM smart contracts
  • Subgraphs
  • Required on-chain and off-chain configuration
All deployed components are properly linked and documented, then handed over to the DEX team in a ready-to-use state.

Repositories & Access Configuration

After deployment, Algebra sets up and configures the full product stack:
  • Frontend (UI)
  • SDK (custom per DEX)
  • Admin dashboard
The DEX team simply provides GitHub accounts, and access is shared. All repositories come preconfigured and aligned with the deployed contracts and Subgraphs.

Modular UI & Feature Configuration

The Algebra DEX UI is fully modular and driven by configuration files — no deep code changes required.
DEX teams can easily:
  • Enable or disable features
  • Choose different routers
  • Enable features such as:
  • Limit orders
  • MEV protection
  • Sliding or dynamic fees
  • ALM integrations
  • Boosted pools (off by default)
and any other feature available for Integral-powered DEXes. Check them out on our Plugin Marketplace.
All features are discussed in advance and activated only if the DEX needs them.

Custom Pools

By default, the UI allows one pool per token pair.
If the DEX wants multiple pools for the same pair, Custom Pools can be enabled by switching a simple config flag from false to true.
You also need to deploy the contract and specify it in the code. You can find more details about the contract here:

SDK & Partner Integrations

Each DEX receives its own SDK, making it easy to:
  • Integrate partners
  • Support ecosystem collaborations
  • Build additional tooling on top of the DEX
This keeps the DEX flexible and extensible without touching the core contracts.

Admin Panel & Farming Management

The admin interface allows DEX teams to manage:
  • Farming programs (create, edit, pause, or disable)
  • Reward balances and emission rates
  • Pool and plugin configurations
  • Key pool metrics and operational data
Many actions can be handled directly from the admin panel instead of relying on block explorers.

APR Backend & Analytics

Algebra also provides a lightweight backend service used to calculate:
  • Pool APR
  • Farming APR
The DEX only needs to:
  • Host the backend
  • Point it to the deployed Subgraphs
  • Set the endpoints in the frontend
Once connected, APR data is displayed automatically across all pools.

Branding & Customization

The Algebra UI is designed to be highly customizable:
  • Colors, backgrounds, fonts
  • Primary and secondary brand palettes
  • Visual styling aligned with the DEX’s identity
This makes Algebra a true white-label solution, adaptable to any brand, audience, or market positioning, both technically and visually.

The Result

What the DEX gets is a fully functional, production-ready exchange:
  • Smart contracts deployed and owned by the DEX
  • Modular UI, SDK, and admin tools
  • Optional advanced features enabled only when needed
  • Easy customization and branding
  • No need to build or maintain complex infrastructure from scratch
In short, Algebra provides everything required to launch and operate a modern DEX — on any network, with any feature set, tailored to any audience. Want to build a DEX like that — no hassle, no hardcoding, pure CLAMM and full customization?
